Proxim's Orinoco 802.11a/b ComboCard delivers the utmost in mobile convenience, allowing secure connections to both 802.11b and 802.11a networks from a single card.
With the Orinoco ComboCard, users can move easily between 802.11 networks at home, in the office, and in public spaces such as a hotel or an airport lounge. The ComboCard operates in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, providing high-speed wireless networking with data rates up to 54 Mbps. An easy-to-use installation and configuration utility allows users to connect quickly and simply. Set up and store up to 100 unique profiles to move between different locations. Create a profile for home, work, hot spots and hotels.
Choose a network preference setting for 802.11b or 802.11a to ensure the best performance, and roam seamlessly between 802.11a and 802.11b networks in the same environment without disruption. Included Boingo software makes it easy to connect to public hot spots. Gold and Silver versions of the Orinoco ComboCard deliver multiple security levels that meet your application needs. Both the Silver and Gold cards deliver AES and various levels of encryption - up to 152-bit WEP; the Gold card adds 802.1x security, delivering enterprise-class security.
