This center punch/scriber is ideal for marking the point where a hole is to be drilled in sheet metal. A drill bit has a tendency to "wander" if it does not start in a recess. The center punch forms a large enough dimple to "guide" the tip of the drill. Just tap it with a small hammer to form an impression. Its slim design and the extra-fine point also make the tool suitable for scribing. Made of polished steel with knurled design on the handle for a firm gripping surface. Approximately 4 inches long.
