Paleontologist David Huxley has been collecting the skeleton of a brontosaurus for four years. David's wedding to the infamous Alice Svolov is also set to take place soon, and he is set to impress wealthy Mrs. Random, who plans to donate a million dollars to the museum. The day before the wedding, David meets Suzanne Vance, who turns out to be Mrs. Rand's niece. Suzanne decided that David was more of a zoologist than a paleontologist, and she was happy to invite him to her Connecticut country home to help her take care of Baby, a hand-held leopard sent to her by her Brazilian brother. Difficulties arise when Suzanne decides she is in love and tries to keep David in her house as long as possible to prevent his marriage. Meanwhile, Suzanne George's dog steals and buries the last bone for the brontosaurus skeleton. The baby runs away, just like George, Suzanne and David go looking for them
