It supports 4K@60Hz (4:2:0, 8-bit) up to 40 meters (130 feet) and 1080p@60Hz up to 70 meters (230 feet), with compatibility for HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, and 7.1-channel lossless audio (e.g., Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master). Bi-directional Power over Cable (PoC) powers both transmitter and receiver with a single 12V DC supply, reducing clutter. The extender features bi-directional IR for control system integration, supporting devices like Blu-ray players and cable boxes. Its plug-and-play design bypasses complex EQ/EDID settings, and robust ESD/surge protection (15kV ESD, 1600V surges) ensures durability. Shielded Cat5e/6 cables with shielded connectors are recommended for optimal performance. Note: Clock stretching issues with older HDMI 1.2/1.3 sources may require workarounds, such as using a B-230-HDSPLTR-1x2 splitter.
