1762-IQ16 is a 16-point source and receiver input module. Measures 90 x 87 x 40 mm, operates on 24 volts DC input power at 10-30 volts DC operating voltage, maximum heat dissipation is 3.7 Watts. The 1762-IQ16 improves the functionality of the MicroLogix 1100, 1200 and 1400 controllers. It requires minimal clearance and can be mounted on a DIN rail or panel mount. Module 1762-IQ16 is a receiver and source module that regulates the flow of current between the input module and the connected device. The negative side of the module devices are sump field devices and those on the positive side are source field devices. Source devices always provide current to Sump devices. The 1762-IQ16 module has a single status LED that indicates power and helps identify the source of all problems. The module communicates and receives 10, 24 and 30 volts of DC power through the bus interfaz 1762. To wire the input terminal blocks, a fingerproof cover is included. 1762-IQ16 uses bit positions 0 to 15 of word 0 for input terminals. Module operation details must be configured for each channel after installation. The 1762-IQ16 has sixteen (16) channels with capture and supply capability. Each channel can be connected to a field input device having a rated voltage of 24 VDC. Each channel displays a signal delay of 8.0 ms for the transition from on to off and off to on.
